When raccoons begin to explore our yard on a regular basis, they become familiar and comfortable with its environment. They might even think about your property theirs. When raccoons feel threatened, they can become aggressive and attack, scratch, or claw.

Another major reason why we do not want raccoons visiting our lawns is that they cause a massive quantity of structural and landscaping damage. This can give them access to roofs, attics, crawl spaces, garages, sheds, and more. From that point, the damage may just get worse. Feeding raccoons is like sending them an invitation to claim your house as their property.
